How do I play backup games with Loadiine?

Note: With dimok’s Loadiine 3.0 you can use either Super Smash Bros. or the Mii Maker channel to launch games. Compatibility is different with each method.

1. Check the “Official” WiiU Loadiine v1.0 Compatibility Sheet to make sure the game you’re trying to run is compatible.
2. Insert your SD card into the Wii U

If using Super Smash Bros to launch Loadiine:

2.1 Backup your Super Smash Bros. save data to USB in case anything goes wrong!
2.2. Insert the Super Smash Bros. disc into the Wii U (unless you have eShop version)

3. Open the Internet Browser
4. Open your bookmark or type your URL (IP+Port) from Mongoose into the URL field (Ex: http://192.168.1.239:8080)
5. Run the AIO Kernel Exploit and select B for Loadiine/Dumpiine
6. Open the Internet Browser (again)
7. Click Loadiine (or navigate to your Loadiine folder if not using a root index.html) and press A to install it (even if the screen has a bunch of white lines in it).

Note: The Wii U should automatically load the game select menu

8. Highlight your game using the D-Pad:

Press A to launch with Smash Bros. U mode
Press X to launch with Mii Maker mode
Press Y to return to the Home Menu (if you wanted to use TCP Gecko)

9. If you chose Smash Bros U mode and it didn’t auto load, exit Mii Maker and then launch Smash Bros. from the Home Menu.

NOTE: When exiting the game, if you want to play another you must relaunch the Mii Maker and select the game again. If you don’t, launching Super Smash Bros will result in a crash.

NOTE: If this is the first time you are running the exploit and your game pad freezes and/or random pixels appear on the game pad and TV, this is normal. It is a corrupted crash (called crash 3). This happens to everyone the first time running it. You must turn the Wii U off by holding the power button or unplug it, then try again… and again… and again, until it works. It may work in 10 tries, 50 tries, 100 tries, or possibly even more. KEEP TRYING and try the steps found in the “How do I run the kernel exploit?” section.

FAQ:

Some games require more memory than is currently allowed for storage, or has other various issues. Check the compatibility thread often for updates!

If you have problems with saves in Smash Bros mode, try deleting your Super Smash Bros. saves. (backup first!)

Probably not. Depending on your class of SD card, the load speeds will vary per user. Look for the symbol on your SD card and use the following for guidelines of how low you should wait: (Multiply depending on your game size)
[IMG] Class 2 has a min speed of 2 MB/s. 500MB game = max load time 4 mins 10 seconds.
[IMG] Class 4 has a min speed of 4 MB/s. 500MB game = max load time 2 mins 5 seconds.
[IMG] Class 6 has a min speed of 6 MB/s. 500MB game = max load time 1 min 23 seconds.
[IMG] Class 10 has a min speed of 10 MB/s. 500MB game = max load time 50 seconds.
[IMG] UHS 1 (U1) has a min speed of 10 MB/s. 500MB game = max load time 50 seconds.
[IMG] UHS 3 (U3) has a min speed of 30 MB/s. 500MB game = max load time 17 seconds.

If you just exited Super Smash Bros. from playing a game, you have to re-enter Mii Maker and select your game again. If this isn’t the case, it means your game may not be compatible. If you’re 100% positive it’s incompatible, let @thej3ster know at the “Official” WiiU Loadiine v1.0 Compatibility Sheet thread so the sheet can be updated.

(You need a modified kernel exploit that sets the virtual memory address 0xA0000000 to physical memory address 0x10000000. The official kernel exploit uses 0x31000000.

How do I use the Loadiine server?

Firmware Version Required:

5.3.2

Downloads:

Websites: (may not contain latest versions)

None Yet

You can use the Loadiine Server to log the files opened by your game. This is especially useful to see if a game is trying to load but incompatible with Loadiine.

Note: The server breaks some game compatibility!

1. Get the Modified Kernel Exploit to run. (Not the Official Kernel Exploit)
2. On your PC, open “C:\WiiU\loadiine\server\loadiine_server.exe” as administrator (right-click, Run as administrator)
3. On your Wii U, launch Loadiine and press X instead of A to install the server

Make sure you’re running the server as administrator, and go to “Control Panel\System and Security\Windows Firewall\Allowed apps” and make sure loadiine_server has check marks for Private and Public. Also double check the order you’re opening things in. Loadiine Kernel -> Server -> Installer.

1. On your PC, open “C:\WiiU\loadiine\www-for-server\loadiine-532\payload532.html” in a text editor (Notepad is fine)
2. Search for:
serverIP if you downloaded the all-in-one package
%uc0a8%u6129%u010a if you downloaded Loadiine separately

3. Replace with a string for the numbers of your IP address in hexadecimal.

Ex: -uc0a8-u6129-u01EF is for my IP address, which is 192.168.1.239.
c0 in hex = 192 in decimal
a8 in hex = 168 in decimal
01 in hex = 1 in decimal
EF in hex = 239 in decimalYou want your IP to be replaced in that string,Ex: for 192.168.0.17:
192 in decimal = c0 in hex
168 in decimal = a8 in hex
0 in decimal = 00 in hex
17 in decimal = 11 in hex
Your string is -uc0a8-u6129-u0011Ex: for 10.0.0.3,
10 in decimal = 0a in hex
0 in decimal = 00 in hex
0 in decimal = 00 in hex
3 in decimal = 03 in hex
Your string is -u0a00-u6129-u0003Replace the string you searched for above with your string and then save it.
